WELCOME TO THE DULUTH OKTOBERFESTIVAL!

We are bringing everything you know and love about the German Oktoberfest right here to Duluth, MN! At the 4th annual Duluth Oktoberfestival you can find: cold German bier, delicious Bavarian food, authentic live music, tons of games and activities and so much more! So dust off your lederhosen, lace up your dirndl, and come join in on all of the fun the festival has to offer!

The Duluth Oktoberfestival will take place September 13-14-15, 2024 and is located within the confines of Duluth’s iconic Bayfront Festival Park (350 Harbor Drive, Duluth, MN 55802).

Everything you need to know:

  • Dates: September 13-14-15
  • Friday 4:00 pm–11:00 pm – (alcohol sales end at 10:30 pm)
  • Saturday 11:00 am–11:00 pm – (alcohol sales end at 10:30 pm)
  • Sunday 11:00 am –4:00 pm – (alcohol sales end at 3:30 pm)
    • Sunday is our dedicated “Family Day,” presented by Essentia Health complete with tons of great games and activities for the whole family to enjoy!

The festival features the largest tent ever erected at Bayfront Festival Park that serves as the main Bier Hall with authentic German bier, food and entertainment! There are tons of activities including a professional kids zone area, entertainment, live music, games, and ancillary activities that are fun for all ages.

Kids 15 and under are free when accompanied by a paid parents and/or guardians.

We’re excited to welcome back Alpensterne who headlined the event last year. World famous Yodler Kerry Christensen also returns for 2024, as does S.G. Edelweiss Dance Group! Also, don’t miss superstar Gasper Krek from Slovenia who returns for the 3rd consecutive year in a row. To see our performance schedule, click here. VIEW PERFORMER SCHEDULE AND LINEUP

The Duluth Oktoberfestival features a wide variety of authentic German games, contests and activities. To see the different adult games we have to offer, check out our games page here. No matter your age, the Duluth Oktoberfestival is fun for everyone. We will have a variety of activities designed specifically for kids to keep your little ones entertained. Sunday, September 15th is our dedicated Essentia Health Family Day – on Sunday Only there will be a petting zoo, alpacas, kids barrel rolling, and the inflatables will be FREE! Authentic German food and drink is available all over the Duluth Oktoberfestival grounds. Our festival features Paulaner Bier, Starling Castle Wine, and Jagermeister. Food and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased with cash – there will be ATMs onsite. All alcoholic beverages must be purchased with our Bier Tokens which are available for purchase from the various token booths spread around the festival grounds. We will have a wide variety of authentic German cuisine.

The Duluth Oktoberfestival features the popular Dachshund Derby! The Dachshund Derby is a race between 32 dogs, with one winner taking home the prize. If racing isn’t up to your weiner dogs speed, we encourage you to bring your Dachshund to spend the day with you at the festival. Safety is important to us at the Duluth Oktoberfestival. We want everyone to have fun and safe time so, because of this, there are certain rules that visitors must abide by.

All patrons entering the event will be subject to a bag check by security at the gate. If you attempt to bring a prohibited item into the event, you will be subjected to either disposing your item or denial of entry into the event. If you attempt to bring a weapon into the event, you will immediately be turned over to the Duluth Police Department. LARGE BAGS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
